OPEN HIRING® AT GREYSTON BAKERY
The door is always open at Greyston Bakery for new hires. All of our bakers are hired without judgment through our Open Hiring® staffing model, which means: no resumes, no interviews, and no background checks. Simply put your name on the list and when a job becomes available we’ll give you a call. In addition to employment, we provide you with wraparound social services to help you be successful in your new role.
TRANSITIONAL EMPLOYMENT
Greyston provides re-entry services for justice-involved individuals, allowing them to re-enter society with pride and a fair second chance. The program includes pre-release workforce training in correctional facilities. Post-release, we offer eight-week paid apprenticeships designed to strengthen your work record and skillset while we help you transition to a full-time job. To ensure your success and reduce the risk of recidivism, we also provide social services to help navigate outside distractions and justice-related obligations. Immediate transitional work is available in the Greyston Rangers Apprenticeship Program or the Maintenance & Commercial Cleaning Apprenticeship Program.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Greyston’s workforce development programs offer job training and certification in high-demand employment areas such as IT, healthcare, business, construction, security, and hospitality. Participants earn an average of 24% above NYS minimum wage in new job placements after their Greyston training. Additionally, we provide a full year of wraparound social service support to help you deal with outside distractions and ensure success in your new role.
