ABOUT THE ROLE
Greyston has pioneered the inclusive practice of Open Hiring and we seek an Employee Development Manager to help our Open Hire employees unlock their potential.
For over 40 years, Greyston has successfully helped individuals overcome barriers to employment – whether being justice impacted, having limited English proficiency, or any other barrier – by practicing Open Hiring. What is Open Hiring? To be hired for our entry level production floor positions, one needs only place one’s name on a list. No resume. No application. No interview. No background check. All that is necessary is a willingness to learn and to work.
This newly created role will report directly to Greyston’s Head of HR, will have primary responsibility for ensuring best practices are followed internally and will serve as a point person for our Open Hire replication partners (other employers who seek our advice). Among Greyston’s largest replication partners are The Body Shop and IKEA.
The incumbent will also assist with data tracking to measure the success of our Open Hire model both internally and with our replication partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Develop and facilitate trainings, including soft-skill trainings for all points in the employee lifecycle and for all levels of employees
- Create templates to assist employees and managers with employee development
- Track Key Performance Indicators and develop initiatives to maximize the impact of Open Hiring on unlocking human potential
- Serve as liaison/resource for Greyston’s external Open Hire partners.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 3-5 years employee development experience with increasing responsibility; experience must include design and development of materials
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Client interface experience preferred
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
