7 Benefits of Greyston’s Youth Assistance Program

Greyston’s Youth Assistance Program exists to provide opportunity, positive guidance, and direction to at-risk youth in the surrounding community. It is a FREE program to all eligible young adults (ages 16 – 24). Here are 7 great benefits to participating in the program!

1) Job Readiness Training

Participants will learn the soft skills and behaviors employers seek most from employees. Things like communication, teamwork, professionalism, time management, empathy, conflict resolution, respect and more.

2) Occupational Skills Training

Participants will learn technical occupational skills and earn nationally recognized credentials in the fields of security, IT, medical calling, construction, gas pipeline, culinary arts and more.

3) Resume Writing

Participants will learn to build a resume that skillfully conveys their skills, knowledge, aptitude, and experience.

4) Paid Internships

Participants can land a paid internship to help develop their on-the-job work skills and exeperience.

5) Interview Skills

Greyston works with participants to learn and practice effective strategies and interviewing skills that will get them hired for the job they want.

6) Job Placement Assistance

For all our participants, Greyston will tap into our network of business relationships and qualified employers to offer personalized, one-on-one help finding appropriate open positions.

7) Case Management

For an entire year, Greyston will be there in the corner for our participants, helping them to navigate through life’s challenges and ensure their continued success and development.
