Homeless at the age of twenty-three, Michael was living in a motel with his two young children. The single father was referred to Greyston for housing and began receiving Tenant Support Services, while working as an overnight store clerk. Michael and his family have since moved into permanent housing, and Michael has never missed a rental payment.

Michael was recently laid off, but undeterred, went on to obtain a position as a part-time Security Guard here in Yonkers. Within a month, he was offered a full-time position and promoted to Supervisor. He has since started an additional part-time job. Michael drives his children to daycare in the used car he was able to purchase with his secured income.

When he needed them most, Greyston’s Tenant Support Services offered the vital tools and support Michael needed to begin his path to success. Michael has become confident in his ability to provide for himself and for his family, through hard work, determination, and a little help from his friends.
