child care center (continued)
Speech therapists, a psychological therapist, and a nurse practitioner help the Center identify and treat developmental delays, socialization difficulties, and behavior issues before they hinder a child’s ability to learn and succeed. Delayed social and learning skills or undiagnosed physical problems often earmark children of extreme poverty for failure before they even enter school. The Center also offers parenting classes, early intervention services, phonics, and developmentally appropriate computer literacy learning. Greyston Child Care Center staff utilize the Addison-Wesley Active Learning curriculum, designed to facilitate the cognitive, physical, emotional and social development of children.
